If you can do your heavy downloading at night, Telecel’s night bundle is one of the cheapest ways to get data in Ghana. Telecel calls it Night King.

Telecel’s terms say these bundles do not expire, but usage is restricted to between 12am and 5am. Unused night data waits for the next night.
At GH₵3 for 10.03GB, Night King works out at about 30 pesewas per GB, compared with roughly GH₵1.58 per GB on Telecel’s biggest daytime no-expiry bundle.
How to buy it
Telecel’s terms list *700# and *110#, the Telecel Play app and third-party channels for its data bundles. Dial *700# or *110#, go to the data bundles, and look for the night option. You can also buy from the bundles page on Telecel’s website.
How to make the most of it
- Queue big downloads before bed. Phone updates, app updates, films and podcasts. Leave the phone charging and on mobile data.
- Start app updates after midnight. Open the Play Store (or App Store) just after 12am and update everything by hand while the night bundle is active.
- Download YouTube videos for offline viewing where the app allows it, then watch them during the day without using daytime data.
- Turn off night downloads before 5am if you have a daytime bundle you do not want to use.
Common questions about night data
- Can I use it at 5:30am? No. Outside 12am to 5am your phone uses your other bundles, or pay-as-you-go if you allowed it.
- Can I buy it in the afternoon? Yes. The restriction is on when you use it, not when you buy it.
