AI can make YouTube faster at every stage, from finding an idea to designing the thumbnail. But YouTube is cracking down on lazy, mass-produced AI videos. The winning formula: **AI for speed, you for substance**.

## A step-by-step AI workflow

### 1\. Ideas and research

Ask ChatGPT or Gemini for video ideas in your niche, then check what is actually being searched on YouTube. Research facts from reliable sources; do not trust AI for facts about Ghana.

### 2\. Script

Write your own outline and opinions, then ask AI to tighten the structure, improve the hook and suggest a strong ending. Rewrite in your own voice.

### 3\. Record

Your face, voice or screen recording makes the channel yours. Even faceless channels need real insight, commentary or storytelling.

### 4\. Edit

Use tools like CapCut to cut silences, add captions and effects. See [free video editing software for Windows](https://chale.tech/free-video-editing-software-windows/).

### 5\. Thumbnail and title

Ask AI for 10 title options and pick the most honest, clickable one. Design the thumbnail in Canva; AI can help with backgrounds and ideas.

### 6\. Description, chapters and captions

AI can draft a description and chapter list from your script. Check auto-captions for names and local words.

## YouTube’s rules on AI

- **Disclose realistic AI content:** real people saying or doing things they did not, altered footage of real events, realistic scenes that did not happen, or AI-generated music as the focus.
- **No disclosure needed** for AI help with scripts, titles, thumbnails, ideas, captions, or cloning your own voice.
- **Inauthentic content is not monetised:** YouTube’s July 2025 update covers mass-produced or templated videos, including generic AI content without your own perspective.
- **Reused content:** re-uploading others’ videos without meaningful changes is not monetised.

Avoid “AI YouTube automation” courses that promise passive income from faceless template channels. That is exactly the kind of content YouTube’s inauthentic content policy targets.

## Common questions

### Can a faceless AI channel be monetised?

Faceless channels can be monetised if the content is original and valuable. YouTube does not monetise mass-produced or templated content without the creator’s own perspective.

### Do I need to disclose AI-written scripts?

No. YouTube says using AI for scripts, titles, thumbnails or ideas does not need disclosure. Realistic synthetic content does.

### Can I use AI voiceovers?

Yes, but avoid generic, robotic channels. Cloning your own voice is allowed without disclosure; cloning someone else’s voice is not okay without permission.

### Is YouTube monetisation available in Ghana?

Ghana is on YouTube’s Partner Program availability list. See our guide to making money from YouTube in Ghana.
