- Description: AI can outline, draft and edit articles fast, but it also invents facts. Here is a workflow for using AI to write blog posts that are accurate, original and genuinely helpful, the kind Google and readers reward.

AI can turn a blank page into a first draft in minutes. The danger is that it also invents facts, quotes and sources with total confidence. Used carefully, it is a great writing assistant. Used carelessly, it produces articles nobody trusts.

## A workflow that works

1. **Start with the reader.** Write down who the article is for and the question they are asking.
2. **Research yourself.** Collect facts from original, official sources: government sites, company help pages, reputable news.
3. **Ask AI for an outline.** Give it your notes and ask for a logical structure with headings.
4. **Draft section by section.** Paste your verified facts into the prompt so the AI works from them.
5. **Fact-check everything.** Every number, name, date, price and procedure.
6. **Add what AI cannot:** your experience, local examples, photos, opinions.
7. **Edit for voice and clarity.** Cut filler, shorten sentences, remove clichés.
8. **Cite your sources** so readers can check.

## Useful prompts

- “Here are my notes \[paste\]. Suggest an outline for a beginner’s guide with 6 to 8 headings.”
- “Rewrite this paragraph to be clearer for a Ghanaian reader, keeping all facts the same.”
- “List questions a reader might still have after reading this article.”
- “Point out any claims in this draft that need a source.”

## Mistakes to avoid

- Publishing AI text without fact-checking.
- Letting AI make up quotes, statistics or references.
- Mass-producing thin articles on every keyword.
- Using AI-generated facts about Ghanaian laws, fees or procedures without checking official sources.

AI tools make confident mistakes. Always check facts, figures, names, laws and prices against a reliable source before you publish, submit or act on anything an AI writes.

## Good for SEO too

Search engines reward helpful, original, accurate content. An article that answers the real question, with checked facts and local knowledge, beats ten generic AI articles.

## Common questions

### Does Google penalise AI-written content?

Google’s focus is on helpful, reliable, people-first content, regardless of how it is produced. Thin, mass-produced articles tend to perform poorly.

### Can I trust AI for research?

Use it to find angles and questions, then verify every fact with original sources such as official websites.

### How do I make AI writing sound like me?

Give it examples of your writing, then edit the draft heavily. Add your own experience and opinions.

### Is it plagiarism to use AI?

Not automatically, but copying text without checking can reproduce others’ work or errors. Rewrite and cite real sources.
