# Telecel internet settings (APN) for Android and iPhone

Telecel SIMs usually configure themselves. But if you moved your SIM to a new or imported phone, or a software update reset things, you may need to set the internet settings yourself.

## Telecel internet settings at a glance

The APN **browse** is the one listed for Telecel’s network (620-02, formerly Vodafone Ghana) in Android’s built-in carrier database. If it does not work on your line, call Telecel customer care to confirm the current settings.

## On Android

1. Open **Settings** and go to **Connections** or **Network & internet**, then **Mobile networks**.
2. Tap **Access Point Names** (or search Settings for “APN”).
3. Tap the menu or **+** and choose **New APN**.
4. Name: **Telecel**. APN: **browse**.
5. Save, then tap the circle to select the new APN.
6. Turn mobile data off and on.

## On iPhone

iPhones usually set this automatically. If there is a **Mobile Data Network** option under Settings → Mobile Data, open it and enter **browse** as the APN for mobile data. If you do not see that option, your iPhone is using the network’s settings and you should not need to change anything.

## Settings right, but still no data?

- **Check your bundle** with **\*124#** (airtime and bundles) or **\*126#** (bundles only).
- **Night bundle only?** Telecel night data works from 12am to 5am.
- **Data finished?** Telecel blocks data when bundles run out, unless you allowed pay-as-you-go browsing.

**Watch your airtime:** if pay-as-you-go browsing is allowed, Telecel charges 11.5 pesewas per MB once your bundles finish, about GH₵118 per GB. You can stop it through \*700#.

### Is Telecel the same network as Vodafone Ghana?

Yes. Telecel is the former Vodafone Ghana, and Android’s carrier database still lists its network under the Vodafone name.
