# How to pay DStv and GOtv with mobile money

No need to queue at a MultiChoice office or agent. You can renew DStv or GOtv from your mobile money wallet in a few minutes.

## What you need

- Your **smartcard number** (DStv) or **IUC number** (GOtv), found on the decoder or on previous receipts.
- The package you want and its current price.
- Enough money in your wallet.

## MTN MoMo

1. Dial **\*170#**.
2. Choose **MoMo Pay & Pay Bill**.
3. Choose the TV / entertainment category and select **DStv** or **GOtv**.
4. Enter your smartcard or IUC number and the amount.
5. Check the name and details, then confirm with your PIN.

You can also pay bills in the MoMo app.

Menus and codes change from time to time. If an option number on your phone differs from the one here, follow the option names instead.

## Telecel Cash

Dial **\*110#**, go to the bill payment option, choose the TV provider and follow the prompts.

## MultiChoice apps

The DStv and GOtv apps also let you check your account, pay, and fix decoder errors (“clear error” or reset).

## If your decoder does not come back on

- Leave the decoder on and tuned to a channel for a few minutes.
- Use the clear-error or reset option in the DStv/GOtv app or self-service.
- Contact MultiChoice customer care with your payment reference.

Read the smartcard number back before you confirm. Payments to the wrong number are hard to get back. Never pay “agents” on WhatsApp who promise cheaper subscriptions.

### What do I need to pay DStv or GOtv?

Your smartcard or IUC number (on the decoder or account statement), the package and the amount.

### How long until my decoder reconnects?

Usually shortly after payment. If not, use the MultiChoice app or customer care to refresh (“clear error”) your decoder.

### I paid to the wrong smartcard number. What now?

Contact your mobile money provider and MultiChoice immediately with the transaction details.

### Can I pay with Telecel Cash?

Telecel Cash has a bill payment menu on \*110#. Look for TV payments under bills.
