Download the **MoMo** app from Google Play or the App Store. Check that the publisher is MTN before installing. 2. Open it and enter your MTN MoMo number. 3. Verify with the code sent by SMS and log in with your MoMo PIN. 4. Turn on **fingerprint login**: MTN says you enter your PIN once to enable it. ## What you can do According to MTN, the app lets you: - **Send money** using your phone contacts, which MTN says helps prevent wrong transfers. - **Buy airtime and data** for yourself or others. - **Get statements** for 30, 60 or 90 days, or a custom range within the last 90 days, emailed as a PDF. - **Use bank services:** push money to your bank or pull money from it. - **Explore loans, shares and investments** under Financial Services. ## Reset your PIN with your Ghana Card If you forget your PIN, MTN’s app can reset it without an agent: 1. Update the app to the latest version and log out. 2. Tap **Forgot PIN** on the landing page, then **Verify Identity**. 3. Accept the privacy policy and tap **Start Verification**. 4. Enter your Ghana Card details and allow camera access. 5. Take a live photo. MTN says it is checked against the National Identification Authority system. 6. Enter a new PIN (not your birth date, not your phone number’s last 4 digits, not 1111 or 1234, not one of your last 4 PINs). 7. Confirm with the OTP sent to you. ## Use it safely - **Download only from the official app store**, never from a link someone sends you. - **Never share the OTP** the app sends you. Anyone asking for it is trying to get into your account. - **Lock your phone** so nobody can open the app if they pick it up. - **Log out on shared phones.** **The golden rule:** nobody genuine will ever ask for your MoMo PIN. Not MTN staff, not an agent, not a “promo officer”. MTN’s official customer service number is **0244300000**, and its call centre is **100**. No data? Everything important also works on \*170#.
