# How to go LIVE on TikTok (requirements and tips)

TikTok LIVE lets you stream in real time and chat with viewers. It is a strong way to grow a following, sell products and earn Gifts, but not everyone can use it straight away.

## Requirements

- **Age 18 or older.** TikTok says creators must be at least 18 to go LIVE and may ask you to verify your age, for example with ID and a selfie.
- **Followers:** TikTok’s help page lists a threshold of **1,000 followers**, which may vary by region.
- **An account in good standing**, without restrictions for breaking the Community Guidelines.

## How to go LIVE

1. Open TikTok and tap **+** (Create).
2. Swipe to **LIVE**.
3. Add a clear title and choose a cover.
4. Tap **Go LIVE**.

If you do not see the LIVE option, you probably do not meet the requirements in your region yet.

## Tips for a good LIVE

## Gifts and earnings
