Your Ghana Post GPS digital address is a short code for your exact location, like **GA-543-0125**. You need it for SIM registration, bank accounts, deliveries and many forms. Getting it takes a minute.

## How it works

GhanaPostGPS divides Ghana into 5m × 5m squares and gives each one a unique digital address. The app works out which square you are standing in.

## Get your address in the app

1. Install **GhanaPostGPS** from Google Play or the App Store (it is free).
2. Register and verify your phone number.
3. Turn on your phone’s location.
4. **Stand at your house**, ideally at the main entrance.
5. Tap the button to generate your address.
6. Check the **accuracy** shown; aim for within 3 metres.
7. Save the code and write it down.

## On a computer

You can also use **ghanapostgps.com** to find and look up addresses.

## Find someone else’s address

Type a digital address into the search box and tap search, then use the route option to get directions.

## Tips

- Generate your address outdoors or near a window for a better GPS fix.
- Use the same code consistently on all forms.
- Share it with delivery riders to save phone calls.

## Common questions

### Is the GhanaPostGPS app free?

Yes. Officials say it is free to download and use.

### What does a digital address look like?

Two letters for the region and district area, then numbers, for example GA-543-0125.

### Can I get my address without the app?

You can use ghanapostgps.com on a computer. One source says USSD access exists for feature phones; check the official site.

### Why does my address change slightly each time?

Each address covers a 5m × 5m square, so standing a few metres away can give a different code. Stand at your main entrance with good accuracy.
