## One Million Coders

The government’s programme is free and has over 140,000 registrations. You register with your Ghana Card at onemillioncoders.gov.gh and can learn online or at one of over 100 centres. See [One Million Coders explained](https://chale.tech/one-million-coders-programme/) and [how to register](https://chale.tech/one-million-coders-registration/).

## How to make free learning count

1. Pick **one** path (web, data, cybersecurity) and finish it.
2. Code a little every day.
3. Build **3 to 5 real projects**: a website for a local business, a data dashboard, a small app.
4. Put your projects on GitHub and LinkedIn.
5. Join local tech communities and hubs.

## From learning to earning

Start with freelance or local jobs, then remote roles. See [freelancing websites available in Ghana](https://chale.tech/freelancing-websites-available-in-ghana/) and [best digital skills to learn in Ghana](https://chale.tech/best-digital-skills-to-learn-ghana/).

Be wary of “coding bootcamps” that guarantee jobs for big upfront fees. Try free options first.
