When WAEC releases WASSCE results, candidates check them online with their index number and a results checker. Here is how.

## What you need

- Your **index number**.
- A **WAEC results checker**: a serial number and a 12-digit PIN.
- A phone or computer with internet.

## The steps

1. Go to **ghana.waecdirect.org**.
2. Enter your index number.
3. Select **WASSCE** and the exam year.
4. Enter the checker serial number and PIN.
5. Submit and view your results.
6. Save a copy as a PDF or screenshot.

News reports say each checker can be used up to **five times**.

## If the portal is slow

- Results days are busy; try early morning or late night.
- Use a stable connection.
- Do not keep refreshing and resubmitting.

## Results are provisional

Online results are provisional. Your school receives official results, and certificates come later.

## Applying to university?

Universities may ask for your results checker or a verification. Keep your checker details safe.

**Scam warning:** WAEC warns against anyone who promises to change or upgrade results for money. Use only the official portal.

*This guide was checked in October 2026\. Menus and services change, so if something looks different on your phone, check with your provider.*
