Checking your Telecel data balance takes a few seconds once you know the right code. Telecel’s own terms list two, and they show slightly different things.

## Option 1: \*124# (airtime and bundles together)

1. Dial **\*124#** and press call.
2. Your main (airtime) balance is shown together with your bundle allocations.

Use this when you want the full picture: how much airtime you have and how much data, voice or SMS is left on your bundles.

## Option 2: \*126# (bundles only)

1. Dial **\*126#** and press call.
2. Only your bundle balances are shown.

Use this when you only care about data and minutes.

## Option 3: the Telecel Play app

Telecel’s terms list the Telecel Play app as a channel for its data bundles. If you have data or Wi-Fi, the app is an easy way to see what you have left and buy more.

## Making sense of your balance

- **Several bundles at once?** Telecel uses the bundle that expires soonest first. A no-expiry bundle waits until your expiring bundles are used up.
- **Night data showing but not working in the day?** Night bundles only work from 12am to 5am. The data does not expire, but you cannot use it outside those hours.
- **Data gone but airtime dropping?** You may have pay-as-you-go browsing switched on. Telecel charges 11.5 pesewas per MB for it. You can stop it through \*700#.
- **Balance topped up by itself?** That is auto-renewal. No-expiry bundles renew when you have used 90%; expiring bundles renew when they end.

USSD codes work without data and on basic phones. If a code fails with “connection problem or invalid MMI code”, check your signal, make sure you are dialling from the Telecel SIM, and try again.

## Set a warning on your phone

Your phone can warn you before a bundle runs out. On Android, go to Settings → Network & internet → Data usage and set a data warning. On iPhone, check Settings → Mobile Data and reset the statistics when you buy a new bundle.

## Common questions

### What is the Telecel data balance code?

Dial \*124# to see your airtime and bundles together, or \*126# to see only your bundles.

### Can I check my balance without data?

Yes. USSD codes like \*124# and \*126# work without data, on any phone.

### Why does my balance show night data I can’t use?

Night bundles only work between 12am and 5am. The data does not expire, so it stays on your balance for the next night.

### Which Telecel bundle is used first?

Telecel uses the bundle that expires soonest first. No-expiry data waits until expiring bundles are used up.
