When WAEC releases BECE results, candidates and parents can check them online from a phone. You need the candidate’s index number and a genuine results checker voucher.

## What you need

- The candidate’s **index number**.
- A **results checker voucher** with a serial number and PIN, from WAEC offices, Ghana Post offices or authorised sellers.
- A phone with internet.

## The steps

1. Go to WAEC’s results portal: **eresults.waecgh.org**.
2. Enter the index number and confirm it.
3. Choose the exam type (BECE School or BECE Private) and the year.
4. Enter the voucher serial number and PIN.
5. Complete the security check and submit.
6. Save the result: use your browser’s print option and choose “Save as PDF”.

On a slow site, do not keep pressing Submit: news reports warn repeated clicks may count as extra uses of your voucher.

## Results are provisional

WAEC’s online results are provisional. Check every subject carefully and talk to your school if something looks wrong.

## Next: school placement

After BECE, SHS placement is done through the CSSPS portal. See [how to check school placement](https://chale.tech/check-school-placement-cssps/).

**Avoid fake sites and “grade upgrade” scams.** Use only WAEC’s official portal. WAEC warns that anyone promising to change or upgrade results for money is a fraudster.

*This guide was checked in October 2026\. Menus and services change, so if something looks different on your phone, check with your provider.*
