Which network gives you the most data for your money? We compared the official bundle prices published by MTN, Telecel and AT, checked in October 2026, so you can see exactly what each cedi buys on each network.

A quick note on method: Telecel and AT publish their bundle lists. MTN publishes a rate per MB for each spending amount instead, so the MTN figures below are worked out from MTN’s rates (and match MTN’s own published volumes where we could check them). Telecel and AT label the bundles in the main table as no-expiry, and MTN’s help centre describes its GH₵399 bundle as non-expiry data.

## Non-expiry bundles side by side

These are the networks’ main everyday bundles: MTN’s regular data bundles, Telecel’s 2Moorch No Expiry bundles and AT’s BigTime Data bundles.

| You pay | MTN | Telecel | AT |
| --------------- | -------------- | -------- | ------- |
| GH₵1 | 41MB | 50MB | 51MB |
| GH₵2 | 99MB | 111MB | 111MB |
| GH₵3 | **407MB** | n/a | 390MB |
| GH₵5 | 521MB | 557MB | 557MB |
| GH₵10 | 838MB | 892MB | 891MB |
| GH₵20 | 1.39GB | 1.67GB | 1.7GB |
| GH₵50 | 3.47GB | 4.46GB | 4.5GB |
| GH₵100 | 9.17GB | 10GB | 10GB |
| GH₵200 | 30.9GB | 33.43GB | 33.4GB |
| GH₵300 | 92.8GB | 100.29GB | 100.3GB |
| GH₵399 / GH₵400 | 217GB (GH₵399) | 253.25GB | 253.3GB |

## What the comparison shows

- **Telecel and AT are almost identical.** At every amount they publish, the difference between them is a megabyte or two.
- **Both give more than MTN at most amounts.** The gap is biggest in the middle: at GH₵50, Telecel and AT give about 1GB more than MTN.
- **MTN wins at GH₵3.** MTN’s GH₵3 bundle (about 407MB) is unusually good value, and slightly more than AT’s GH₵3 (390MB). Telecel does not list a GH₵3 no-expiry bundle.
- **At the top end,** Telecel and AT’s GH₵400 bundles give about 253GB, against about 217GB for MTN’s GH₵399.

## Night bundles: the cheapest data of all

If you can do your heavy downloading at night, night bundles are much cheaper than anything in the table above.

| Network | Price | Data | Hours |
| ------------------- | ----- | ------------------------ | ----------- |
| Telecel Night King | GH₵3 | 10.03GB | 12am to 5am |
| Telecel Night King | GH₵2 | 4.02GB | 12am to 5am |
| MTN Midnight Bundle | GH₵3 | about 8.5GB | 12am to 5am |
| MTN Midnight Bundle | GH₵1 | about 2GB | 12am to 5am |
| AT Night Bundle | GH₵5 | 8GB + unlimited AT calls | 12am to 4am |
| AT Night Bundle | GH₵3 | 5GB + 100 AT minutes | 12am to 4am |

Telecel gives the most per cedi at night. MTN says its Midnight Bundle does not expire, so unused night data carries over to later nights.

## Short-term deals worth knowing

Some bundles give a lot of data but only for a short time. They are good value only if you will actually use the data before it expires.

- **Telecel Downloader Hour:** GH₵2 for 1.11GB, valid for one hour. Good for one big download.
- **Telecel GH₵4.50 special:** 1.45GB valid for one day.
- **Telecel Bossu Weekend:** GH₵6 for 4.46GB plus 100 minutes, valid Saturday and Sunday.
- **MTN Kokrokoo:** GH₵1.22 for 460MB, 5am to 8am only.
- **AT Sika Kokoo:** GH₵6 for 1GB over two days, up to GH₵50 for 6.1GB over 15 days.
- **Telecel 30-day monthly bundles:** GH₵400 for 263.38GB, slightly more than Telecel’s no-expiry GH₵400 bundle, but it expires after 30 days.

## So which is cheapest for you?

- **You buy small amounts, a few cedis at a time:** MTN’s GH₵3 bundle is the best small buy across the three networks.
- **You buy GH₵20 to GH₵100 at a time:** Telecel or AT give noticeably more than MTN.
- **You download a lot:** use night bundles, especially Telecel’s Night King or MTN’s Midnight Bundle, and schedule updates and downloads for after midnight.
- **You use a lot every month:** the largest bundles on all three networks cost under GH₵2 per GB, far less than the mid-sized ones.

**Cheap data is worthless without signal.** Coverage and speed vary a lot by area. Before switching networks to save a few cedis, ask people nearby which network works best where you live and work, or try a cheap bundle on a second SIM first.

## How to buy on each network

- **MTN:** dial **\*138#** or use the MyMTN app. Full details in [MTN data bundle codes](https://chale.tech/mtn-data-bundle-codes-ghana/).
- **Telecel:** Telecel’s help pages point to **\*700#** for bundles. You can also buy on the Telecel website.
- **AT:** dial **\*111#** for BigTime bundles (AT lists \*111\*1# as a shortcut) and **\*111\*4#** for Sika Kokoo bundles. Night bundles are under \*111#, option 4, then option 3.

Whichever network you choose, your bundle goes further with the right settings. See [how to make your mobile data last longer](https://chale.tech/how-to-make-your-mobile-data-last-longer/).

## Common questions

### Which network has the cheapest data in Ghana?

At most amounts, Telecel and AT give slightly more data per cedi than MTN, and they are almost identical to each other. MTN’s GH₵3 bundle is the exception for small buys.

### What is the cheapest night bundle?

Telecel’s Night King gives 10.03GB for GH₵3 between midnight and 5am, the most per cedi among the three networks’ published night bundles.

### How up to date are these prices?

They are the prices each network listed on its own website in October 2026\. Networks do change bundles, most recently in January 2026 after Ghana’s VAT reforms, so check the menu before you buy.

### Should I switch networks to save money?

Only if the other network has good coverage where you live and work. Try a small bundle on a second SIM before moving your main number.
